AROHAN is the solo musical output of Taylor Gehrts. he is one half of the Portland-based electronic duo Mori, and has been creating electronic music since 1999. Arohan’s music is for dancing and thinking.
His influences range from industrial to pop, through house, techno, krautrock and noise. Never comfortable with one particular sound, music is always an experiment, as Gehrts is always looking for some new idea to inspire his works, created using a wide range of 80′s analog synths and drum machines. Gehrts has performed in Germany, France, Mexico, and across the US.
Arohan is currently writing new material for an upcoming Sweating Tapes 12″ EP (Winter 2011), with LFE bassist, Josh Beck. Going is Arohan’s debut release, out now on limited edition Sweating Tapes cassette:
